School History

Crowton Christ Church Primary School was
founded in 1875 by the National Society and
local church people to provide for ‘the education
of children according to the principles of the
Church of England.’ The original building was
replaced in 1966 by the church, aided by grants
from the Department for Education and the
Local Authority. It was further extended in 1998
and in 2004. Investors in People AwardActive Mark Award
